Chautala seeks cheaper farm loans

Chautala made the request to RBI Governor Y V Reddy who
called on him here this evening, an official spokesman said.
The Chief Minister noted that while the rate of interest on house loans was eight per cent, it was 11 per cent in case of the farm sector.
Reddy said he would look into the matter in the larger interest of the farming community and the small scale industries.
Reddy was accompanied by Regional Director of RBI, D P S Rathore.
