Kathmandu, Sept 20: Sher Bahadur Deuba, who was dismissed as Nepal's premier last year when King Gyanendra sacked the elected government, left today for a week of talks in China, his party said. Deuba is heading a seven-member delegation on a "goodwill" trip to Beijing at the invitation of China's ruling communist party, said a statement by his Nepali Congress-democratic party.

"Bilateral relations and the present political situation in the world will be discussed with members of the Chinese communist party central committee," it said.
