Allahabad, Oct 12: Ahead of the VHP-sponsored rally at Ayodhya next week, the district administration today clamped prohibitory orders banning assembly of persons and provocative speeches and police took about 100 VHP activists into preventive custody. The prohibitory orders would remain in force till October 18 and was intended to discourage any activity including provocative speeches that might harm communal harmony and jeopardise law and order, Additional District Magistrate (administration) Besant Lal Verma said.
