Balasore, Feb 05: The indigenously built Pilotless Target Aircraft (PTA) ''Lakshya'' was successfully test flown from the interim test range (ITR) at Chandipore-on-sea about 15 km from here today. The ITR sources said that the unmanned air vehicle (UAV) was test flown at 12:45 pm.

The ''Lakshya'' aircraft had already been inducted into the defence force in 2000.
ITR sources said that today's test flowing of ''Lakshya'' was a developed engine version, which had been used as aerial reconnaissance of battle field, including the target aquisition.
