"As long as I have crucial contribution to make to the film's story, I don't mind playing a mother's role to any hero or heroine. I'm extremely happy with all the roles I've played so far because they've all been meaningful," Tulasi, who is in her 40s, said.

In the recent past, Tulasi has played a mother in Tamil films such as 'Eesan', 'Aadhalal Kadhal Seiveer' and 'Pandiya Naadu'.

She is currently looking forward to the re-release of 1980 Telugu classic 'Sankarabharanam', which has been digitally restored. She made her cinematic debut in the film as a 10-year-old boy.

"Anything I say about this film will not do complete justice to it. That film changed my life forever. I still can't remember how many times I got felicitated for my performance. I owe my career to filmmaker K. Vishwanath," she said.

Tulasi has about half a dozen films in her kitty such as 'Aambala' and 'Zeroa'. She will also be seen playing Shruti Haasan's mother in a Telugu film soon.
