Paris, Jan 31: Olivier Mutis has been named in France's Davis Cup team to face Croatia in their first round clash next month, the French Tennis Federation (FFT) has announced. Mutis comes in as a replacement for French number one Sebastien Grosjean who has withdrawn because of a groin injury he sustained during his Australian Open quarter-final against Andre Agassi on Tuesday.
''With Sebastien Grosjean having pulled out, (team captain) Guy forget decided to call up Olivier Mutis as the fifth man,'' the French Federation said in a statement yesterday.
Mutis joins Thierry Ascione, Arnaud Clement, Nicolas Escude and Michael Llodra in the French team.
France host Croatia in Metz on February 6-8.
