Mumbai, Oct 30: Rahul Dravid was named the Wisden Indian Cricketer of the Year 2002-03 here today. England captain Michael Vaughan and Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne, currently serving a one-year ban for failing a drug test, bagged the awards for the best performance of the year in batting and bowling respectively at a function here tonight.
Sachin Tendulkar received the special ESPN-Star Sports Moment of the Year award for his square cut six off Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar during the world cup clash between India and Pakistan in South Africa early this year.
The Wisden Young Cricketer of the year award went to South Africa's youngest ever captain Graeme Smith.
