Jaipur, Oct 22: Rajasthan Congress today said granting of statutory powers to Pota Review Committee for re-dressal of complaints by individuals booked under the Anti-Terrorism Law by the Union Cabinet has proved oppositions' apprehensions against the law. Entire oppositions, led by congress, had tried to reason with the NDA government that the law could be misused but all advises fell on deaf ears. Now the government has "realised its folly and tried to correct its mistake," spokesman of Pradesh Congress Committee Mohan Prakash told reporters here. "It also shows that Vajpayee government was ruling the country without any reasoning," Prakash said.

Prakash charged BJP with suffering from "Sonia Gandhi phobia" as voters are turning against them.

Not naming vice-president Bhairon Singh Shekhawat directly, Prakash said BJP was using name of a constitutional office for electoral gains because it knows that its workers were unsettled, he added. Bureau Report
