Srinagar, Sept 09: Jammu and Kashmir government has decided to take over the entire property of Muslim Aquaf Trust, headed by former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah, alleging financial mismanagement.
This decision was taken at a cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed yesterday.

Authorities sealed Hazratbal, Charar-e-shrief and three other shrines at Pakherpora, Dasteil Sahib and Makhdoom Sahib as well as the Trust office inside the National Conference headquarters at Nawa-i-Subah locality in Srinagar.
Ironically, the decision was taken on a day when the National Conference was observing death anniversary of its founder Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, who had also founded the Muslim Auqaf Trust.
