Four rebel BJP MLCs seek Samajwadi Party ticket for parishad polls
Lucknow, Nov 06: Samajwadi Party(SP) today claimed that four rebel BJP legislators have sought party tickets to contest Vidhan Parishad elections in January next year.

contest Vidhan Parishad elections in January next year.
Akshay Pratap Singh, Bharat Tripathi, Ajit Singh and
Shailendra Pratap Singh have applied for Samajwadi Party
ticket for next council elections, SP state General Secretary
and Agriculture Minister Shivpal Singh Yadav told reporters
here.
He claimed many BJP legislators were in touch with SP party leadership which would decide on their candidature. The term of these BJP MLCs expires on January 11 next. Incidently, the four BJP legislators were part of the group which revolted against the party leadership early this year and launched save BJP campaign. Meanwhile, BJP Gonda Chief Ram Bahadur Singh today joined SP along with his supporters.
