Dehradun, Dec 07: CBI has decided to shift the Assamese girl, who had alleged that a former Uttaranchal Revenue Minister fathered her child, to Delhi for further investigation, official sources today said. The investigative agency has written to state police to make arrangements for taking the girl to the national capital, senior police officials said here.

The girl was sent to Nari Niketan, Dehradun, following her allegations in June this year that her new born son was fathered by former Uttaranchal Revenue Minister Harak Singh Rawat.

Following the allegations, Rawat had resigned from the council of minsters and state government moved the case to CBI for investigation. The agency after preliminary investigations filed a case of rape against Rawat on July 25, 2002. Later, Rawat was subjected to a DNA test.
