Bridgetown (Barbados), Dec 04: The West Indies Cricket Board has said that Jamaican Jerome Taylor will return home after the West Indies team finishes the Zimbabwe leg of its African tour. Although Jerome was cleared to play again, he has not fully recovered from a back injury he sustained during the first Test against Zimbabwe, the West Indies Cricket Board said in a statement yesterday.
Taylor will undergo further tests and will be closely monitored until he recuperates, the cricket board said.
A replacement has not been named for Taylor.
The West Indies will play South Africa in four Tests, and five one-day internationals during the next two months.
