Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 15: Brushing aside the persistent demand from the Karunakaran faction for leadership change, Kerala Chief Minister A K Antony today said he had no plan to quit on his own. "I am not going to quit on my own," an unruffled Antony replied to queries during his weekly cabinet briefing.
"I have received brickbats more than bouquets in my political career," he said when asked about K Karunakaran's strident assertion that there was no solution to the present crisis in the congress in the state other than removal of Antony from the Chief Minister's post.
Antony, however, maintained that "no position of power is permanent and I don't think that I can occupy this seat for ever. The moment I assumed charge, I knew that I would have to vacate the chair one day."
