Modi asks experts to be part of team to probe plant blast
Vadodara, Oct 15: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today constituted a five-member committee to probe into the powerful explosion in a plant of Gujarat Narmada valley Fertilizer Company (GNFC) in Bharuch district which left five dead and 31 injured last night.

Modi, during his visit to the site, instructed senior
GNFC officials to include two experts of the Indian Petro
Chemicals Limited (IPCL) and Gujarat State Fertiliser
Corporation (GSFC) in the committee which will conduct an
inquiry into the blast in the GNFC's nitrogen phospate plant,
company's Executive Director P B Nanavati told reporters.
The CM also visited the hospital where several injured are being treated and also asked the management to settle the compensation cases of the five deceased employees and those injured.
Modi also urged GNFC officials to ensure that the affected plant is back in action at the earliest.
