Excise duty on cars by disabled people reduced
New Delhi, Aug 04: With a view to provide mobility to the disabled, government has reduced the excise duty by eight per cent on cars used by paraplegics and those with other severe physical disabilities.

In addition to reducing the excise duty from the present 16 to eight per cent, the cars have also been exempted from the one per cent national calamity contingent duty levied in
this year's budget, National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People (NCPEDP) press release said here today.
The notifications in this regard had been issued from June 17, the release said.
