New Delhi, June 09: Newly-floated 'Third Front' of Delhi today alleged that the Congress stood "exposed" on the issue of secularism in the wake of Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati crediting former prime minister P V Narasimha Rao with installation of Lord Rama's idol at Ayodhya. The Front, comprising Janata Dal (Secular), Lok Janshakti Party, Samajwadi Janata Party and National Akali Dal, demanded that either the Congress publicly agree with what the pontiff has said or throw Rao out of the party.

"The Shankaracharya made the statement in the presence of Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Rao. Neither of them contradicted the remark, indicating their admission," the Front's coordinating committee leader and MLA Shoaib Iqbal said here.

"The Congress has been exposed on secularism. It has proved that their claims on secularism are only a drama," he said.

Iqbal said the Front leaders and activists would 'gherao' the Congress president over the issue on Wednesday.
