New Delhi, July 15: The New Delhi district courts housed in the erstwhile palace of Maharaja of Patiala near India Gate in the heart of capital may soon be moved out to another area to accommodate more number of courts, lawyers chambers and litigants, the Supreme Court was informed today. A bench comprising Justice R C Lahoti, Justice Y K Sabharwal and Justice Ashok Bhan asked the central government to finalise the choice between the two places, one selected in Netaji Nagar near Chankayapuri and the other in rouse avenue near ITO, within six weeks and report back to the court. Additional Solicitor General Raju Ramachandran informed the bench that during a recent meeting between the Union Urabn Development Minister and Lt Governor of Delhi, two sites at Netaji Nagar and rouse avenue were shortlisted.
