New Delhi, Nov 21: The Railway Ministry today postponed the Group 'D' examination by RRB, Mumbai citing extensive damages caused to the computers and other office records as the ''reason'' behind the decision. ''The decision was taken as the RRB, Mumbai has been unable to access vital information and records,'' an official spokesman here said.
Shiv Sena activists on November 18 had ransacked the RRB office in Mumbai where answer sheets of an earlier railway exam had been kept, to protest what they alleged was an ''anti-Maharashtrian''
The revised examination schedule would be intimated to candidates later, he said. The candidates who had already appeared in the written examination held on November 16 would not be required to appear again as the examination held earlier was valid, he added.
