Baghdad, Oct 25: Three civilians were killed and two were wounded when their vehicles hit a roadside bomb and came under fire on an Iraqi highway today, the US military said. A US military spokesman said a roadside bomb exploded hitting two civilian vehicles which were then attacked with rocket-propelled grenades and small arms fire near Habbaniya, 80 km (50 miles) west of Baghdad.
The military spokesman did not give the nationalities of the casualties. An official at a local hospital said one of the wounded was a westerner and that his Iraqi translator was killed.
