Bhopal, May 26: Criticising induction of Prahlad Patel into the Union ministry, three Congress leaders from Madhya Pradesh today alleged there were criminal cases pending against him and his induction amounted to "criminalisation of politics". The three leaders, who criticised the induction of Patel are the state Congress vice-president Rameshwar Neekhra and general secretaries, M P Vashisht and Rajkumar Patel.

Vashisht, in his statement claimed that more than 23 criminal cases were pending against him.

Neekhra and Rajkumar, in a joint statement, said induction of Patel into the Union ministry amounted to "criminalisation of politics". They demanded that Patel be removed immediately from the Union government. They also released a long list of cases which they said had been registered against Patel.
