Mumbai, Nov 13: Setting aside a lower court order, the Mumbai High Court today cancelled the bail of dismissed CISF Jawan Rajnarain Namdeo, who had shot dead Deputy Commandant A Karanjikar at international airport here on May 24, and asked him to surrender before the police within a week. Justice B H Marlapalle cancelled Namdeo's bail while rejecting his lawyer Majeed Memon plea to stay the order or grant Namdeo two weeks time to surrender. On October six, sessions judge N D Deshpande had released on bail Namdeo, who shot dead his senior with his service rifle when he was on duty at the airport. After firing at Karanjikar, he had held six hostages at gun point for four hours before surrendering to police. The state appealed that the lower court had erred in presuming that this was a case of single murder because Namdeo's intention could do much harm. He had fired 11 rounds at colleagues before holding them hostage at gunpoint.

It was argued that Namdeo's act was a plan of cold blooded murder. Bureau Report
