New Delhi, July 29: Rejection of notice for admission of BSP's adjournment motion over the "misleading" statement by Union Tourism Minister Jagmohan in the controversial Taj heritage corridor project today created a pandemonium in Lok
Sabha, forcing its adjournment for half-an-hour.
As soon as Speaker Manohar Joshi disallowed the notice,
Bahujan Samaj Party members stormed the well shouting slogans
"Dismiss Jagmohan".
The issue was raised by BSP leader Rashid Alvi when the House met this morning to take up the Question Hour.
Alvi said he had given a notice for adjournment motion which should be taken up immediately to discuss the controversial issue, especially the "misleading" statement given by Jagmohan in Lok Sabha which gave an impression to the entire country that it was the Centre and not the Mayawati government which had stopped construction work at the project.
But the fact was that UP Chief Minister had taken steps to stop the work and ordered an enquiry, Alvi said.
As the members were unwilling to go back to their seats, the Speaker adjourned the House for 30 minutes. Bureau Report
