Colombo, Feb 07: Sri Lanka's Parliament is to be dissolved from midnight (11:50 pm IST), clearing the way for an election on April 2, a source who said they had seen the dissolution announcement told news agencies. The call had been widely anticipated since a political feud erupted in November when President Chandrika Kumaratunga sacked three ministers in Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe's government, saying that he had compromised security in his peace bid with the Tamil Tigers.
