Jammu, Oct 18: Several political parties have condemned the militant attack on chief minister's residence in Srinagar and described it as an act of "cowardice and frustration".
"The act is the handiwork of those elements who want to derail the peace process initiated by the Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed in the state," a spokesman of People's Democratic Party said here today.
Condemning the attack, he said it is an act of frustration by those who do not want permanent peace to be restored in Jammu and Kashmir.
Pradesh Congress Committee's chief spokesman Amrit Malhotra said "the attack is engineered by forces across the border to thwart the peace process undertaken by coalition government in the state".
Describing it as an act of cowardice, Malhotra, who is a member of state legislative council, said the government is determined to defeat such forces and carryout the peace process to its logical end.
