Jammu, July 09: With a view to maintain the natural beauty of Patnitop, a tourist resort nestled in the Himalayas, the Jammu and Kashmir government has imposed a ban on the use of polythene with immediate effect. Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed who held a meeting with the chairman of the pollution control board yesterday, has decided to impose the ban, district magistrate of Udhampur, Atal Dulloo, said. The ban will be enforced for a period of two months with immediate effect, Dulloo added. Bureau Report
