Kolkata, Jan 26: The Cricket board on Sunday said wives of the World Cup bound cricketers could not accompany them in the initial stage of the tournament beginning in South Africa on February 8. BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya said that wives of the cricketers would not be with them until they qualify for the Super Sixes.
Dalmiya announced this after a crucial meeting of the team management attended by skipper Sourav Ganguly, coach John Wright and others.
Dalmiya also announced that a sports psychologist would accompany the team during the mega event. Bureau Report
