Mandla (MP), June 17: Describing the mobile phone as a "tuntuna", Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today recalled the days when he did not have either a phone or electric connection at his house. Addressing a public meeting here, Vajpayee said "now everyone is seen carrying a tuntuna. I did not have a phone or even power at my house. We would go to our neighbours to make a call and they would say the phone is busy," he said adding in his characteristic wit "but they were good people." Vajpayee was mentioning how his government had brought about connectivity and linking people through roads and telecommunications. Bureau Report
