Nagpur, Sept 27: Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat will embark on three-day tour of Vidarbha region from today.
Shekhawat would visit the historic Deeksha Bhoomi, the memorial of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, where the Dalit leader embraced Buddhism in 1956, at the outset and would later proceed to Dr Hedgewar Memorial at RSS headquarters, said official sources.
On Sunday, Shekhawat would proceed to Yavatmal to inaugurate a national seminar on `Human Rights and Duty Education', organised by Vidya Prasarak Mandal at Amlockchand Mahavidyalaya and after attending a couple of programmes there, would return to the city the same evening.
On September 29, the Vice-President will inaugurate the spices plant of Purti Group of Industries at Dhapewada near here before flying back to Delhi in the afternoon, sources added.
