Apang resigns from Arunachal Congress, joins BJP
Itanagar, Aug 26: Arunchal Pradesh Chief Minister Gegong Apang has resigned from the Arunachal Congress and has joined the BJP, completing the `saffronisation` of his United Democratic Front ministry sworn in on August three after toppling the Mukut Mithi Congress government.

Apang resigned last night from the AC of which he was
the sole member in the 60-member House, BJP vice-president
Pyarelal Khandelwal told before leaving for Delhi at the
end of marathon closed door meetings with Congress(Dolo) MLAs.
The party`s North East in-charge V Satish, on the verification of signatures by 36 Cogress(D), two independents and an unattached member who joined the BJP en masse, said it was a "technical matter" which would be sorted out in a day or two.
