Hyderabad, Oct 02: Union MoS for Home Affairs Chinmayanand Swami examined the security status of Andhra Pradesh following yesterday’s assassination attempt on Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu by People's War Group naxalites. Swami declared deployment of NSG commandos for CM’s security. Meanwhile, an inquiry has been instituted into yesterday’s assassination attempt. Former SPG chief IPS officer Subrhmanyam will head the inquiry committee.
N Chandrababu Naidu was today brought here by a special aircraft shortly after which he drove straight to his residence.

Naidu, who suffered injuries on his nose, chest and fracture of the collar bone in a series of mine blasts triggered by the naxalites yesterday in Tirumala, walked out of the aircraft down the ladder and got into his bullet-proof car waiting at the tarmac to head for his home.
Naidu was brought from the Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences in Tirupati where he was treated for his injuries overnight.
Earlier, there were indications that Naidu would be admitted to Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) here for further treatment.
Along with Naidu, Information Technology Minister B Gopalakrishna Reddy, who suffered rib fractures, was also brought here and admitted to NIMS, the sources said.
Meanwhile, TDP MLA R Rajshekhar Reddy, who was seriously injured in the landmine blast and had slipped into coma, was today taken to Chennai by road and admitted to Apollo Hospital there.
Another ruling party legislator Ch Krishnamurthy and car driver Raju are undergoing treatment at Tirupati, the sources added.
