Mohd Kalam alias Mateen, hailing from Surankote and believed to be activist of fundamentalist Ahle Hadees group, was picked up from Jama Masjid area last night, the sources told today.
He was being interrogated by a joint team of Delhi police and intelligence agencies about the motive for his presence in the capital and to ascertain his connections with the terrorist outfit, they said.
"Investigations are aimed to find if he is a member of LeT and whether or not he was here to provide some covert help to the outfit," the sources said.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that Kalam's family has been lending logistical and other kinds of help to let cadres in Poonch, the sources said, adding it was being ascertained whether this was voluntary or due to coercion.

Kalam has been in Delhi for more than two years and had been staying in Bara Hindu Rao area, they said. He shifted to Jama Masjid area recently.
