New Delhi, June 05: A festival of documentaries and feature films from Canada is commencing here from today. The festival will continue till June 23. The package comprises three feature documentaries and four full length feature films screened at various festivals around the world to widespread critical acclaim. Hosted by Indo-Canadian Films International, India International Centre and Federation of Film Societies of India, the festival includes films made by first timer film-makers as well as veterans, festival director Gautam Hooja said. All the films have been made with Canadian government support, which is the strength of modern Canadian cinema allowing it to withstand pressured from Hollywood.
Canada has bilateral film co-production treaties with over 50 countries. Bureau Report
