Aligarh, July 06: Accusing Chief Minister Mayawati of corruption, former chief minister and Rashtriya Kranti Party chief Kalyan Singh today demanded a CBI probe into reports that she had allegedly deposited over Rs 3000 crore in Swiss banks during her recent visit to Europe. "I am making this allegation with a full sense of responsibility based on unimpeachable resources," Singh told reporters here, adding the allegation could easily be confirmed with the help of the Interpol. He said at least 12 major scams including the one linked to the Noida-Agra Expressway had taken place under the Mayawati regime. Accusing the chief minister of "lying" on the Taj Heritage Corridor issue, Singh said, "What sort of a chief minister is she if she is not even aware of such a crucial and sensitive project in her state?" and demanded an inquiry by a sitting judge of the Supreme Court on this issue.
He said the full truth will automatically come to light if all the relevant papers concerning the Agra scandal are placed before the state assembly. Bureau Report
