Thiruvananthapuram, July 10: All India President of Jama'at-e-Islami Mohammed Abdul Haq Ansari today said talks on Ayodhya issue between Hindu and Muslim communities appeared to have reached a "dead end" in the absence of "reasonable and justifiable" suggestions. "The question is what you want to talk and whether your suggestions do justice to the community or persons concerned or it has a rational and historical basis. It is not logical to say that some community should simply accept the demand of the other. Then it is not discussion, but dictation," he told a meet-the-press programme here. Muslim leaders had considered suggestions of the Kanchi Acharya on the issue and sought certain clarifications. But in the end everyone was disappointed on the response from the other end, he said. Ansari reiterated his organisation's stand that if the court found a temple existed at Ayodhya with sufficient proof, the Muslims had to offer it to the majority community.

"If by any chance anyone brought down a temple and constructed a mosque - that is built unjustly. On this, there is no disagreement among Muslims," he said, adding there was no harm for waiting for the court's verdict on the issue. "There is no proper justification for being restless over it," he said.
