Kochi, Aug 31: VHP vice president Acharya Giriraj Kishore today said the high power central committee and marg darshak mandal would meet for three days at Delhi from Sept. 14 to decide the future course of action on the Ayodhya issue.
He told reporters here that Union Government's stand on the Ayodhya issue was 'not at all' agreeable. There was ample proof to show that there existed the temple beneath the Babri mosque which was demolished on Dec 6, 1992, he said.
Lord Rama was worshipped there and 'only to renovate, we demolished the structure and not the mosque', he said adding 'sooner or later a magnificent temple would come up there at the same site'.
Reiterating the demand for a CBI enquiry into the May 2 carnage at the Marad beach, which had claimed a total of nine lives, he said 'if the state government did not agree for a CBI enquiry, we will take the agitation to Delhi. But it depends on the local unit'.
Alleging that Hindus were being considered as second class citizens of the country, he said every forum was used to allegedly abuse only them. 'Hindus are the mainstream of the country', he said adding that they should remain united.
