Chennai, June 03: An associate of forest brigand Veerappan, Ganapathyappan, wanted in connection with a shootout in 1987 in which one forest officer was killed and two forest rangers were injured, has been arrested, ADGP of the Crime Branch-CID S Ramani said today. Ganapathyappan, absconding for 16 years after the incident, was arrested in Arul Taluka of Dharmapuri on June one, Ramani told reporters here. Bureau Report
