New Delhi, July 23: Government today decided to reconstitute the law commission which will begin functioning from September one this year. A proposal regarding this was approved by the Union Cabinet, an official spokesman told reporters here after its meeting. The reconsituted commission with a three-year term will have a chairman, three full-time members, one member-secretary and three or more part time members, the spokesman said.

The chairman and three full-time members of the reconstituted law commission will be either serving or retired judges of the supreme court or high courts, legal experts, jurists and professors of law in any Indian University, he said.
