Bangalore, Jan 02: Senior Congress Lok Sabha member C K Jaffer Sharief today neither confirmed nor denied reports that he has resigned his parliamentary seat expressing unhappiness over the functioning of the party.
"I have no comments", Sharief, a former railway minister, told a news agency to persistent queries on whether he has quit his Lok Sabha seat.
Asked whether he would deny or confirm the reports, he said "I do not want to feed the media".
Reports said Sharief, representing Bangalore north, had sent in his resignation to Lok Sabha Speaker Manohar Joshi two days ago expressing unhappiness over the functioning of the party at both the state and national levels.
Sharief has, on some occasions, taken a dig indirectly at the S M Krishna government, indicating his unhappiness with it.
