After noticing unloading of four truckloads of school
bags in a private house at Pathalgaon in Jashpur district, BJP
activists last night lodged a complaint with the police and
district election officials, Pathalgaon police told reporters today.
During a raid, police found 7450 bags bundled in 745 sacks and stored there following which SDM, Pathalgaon, A K Vaishnab sealed the building.
Taking strong objection to the matter, Sai alleged that it was a step to influence voters ahead of the December one poll.
"Otherwise why the school bags were transported despite the ban on its procurement and distribution by the EC? and when the consignment was for the tribal department, Jashpur, the district headquarters, why it was unloaded at Pathalgaon, about 500 km from the state capital," he asked.
BJP had recovered three truckloads of such bags in the past one week.
