Islamabad, Dec 03: Agreeing to the Indian proposal of technical level parleys on resumption of 'Samjhauta Express', Pakistan will send a four-member delegation of railway officials to New Delhi this month to attend the two-day talks on restoring rail links between the two countries.
Pakistan railway officials' delegation, led by Mohammad Iqbal Khatri, would reach New Delhi on December 17 to attend the talks on December 18 and 19, the official media reported today.
The two countries are also expected to discuss the restoration of goods train service which was disrupted as a result of India's decision to cut air, rail and road links after the December 13, 2001 terrorist attack on Parliament.
The train links are expected to be resumed along with air links from January one.
