Ratlam (Mp), Oct 14: Accusing the Congress-ruled states of `not utilising' central funds meant for providing jobs to Muslims, BJP's Minority Morcha today said Muslims were safe under Vajpayee led NDA government which has taken various `welfare steps' for them. Speaking to reporters here, the Morcha president Haji Ramjan Khan said the BJP-led NDA government at the centre had provided Rs 340 crore assistance for creating jobs for Muslims but Congress ruled states did not utilise the fund and allowed them to lapse.
He claimed that of the five states, where assembly election are going to be held, BJP would capture power in four including Madhya Pradesh, as most of the Muslims would vote for BJP.
Khan also said that BJP would include plans to remove some of the problems of Muslims in its election manifesto.
Describing Godhra carnage and subsequent riots as `unfortunate', he said BJP would never misguide the Muslims.
