Mumbai, Oct 02: Reliance Industries Ltd will announce its unaudited financial results for the second quarter ending September 30, on October 16, 2003.
A notice to this effect has been sent to the stock exchanges, the company said in a release here today.
Modi said the company had hired independent agencies checking the entire network offering both data and voice services and claimed that in another 90 days, Reliance's network would be "best" anywhere in the world.

Asked about the company's new tariff plans, Modi said "as of now there is nothing planned. We are waiting for new interconnect user charge (IUC) regime to be announced by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI)."
Breaking silence on the contentious issue of unification of licences and TDSAT's recent judgements regarding WLL services, Modi said "unified licensing is the only way to utilise the network resources in the most efficient and optimal way.

"The economies of scale will enable the operators to cut down costs and provide affordable services to the masses. Even internationally, many countries are moving towards unified licence to effectively address the issues arising out of convergence of technologies and market," he added.
Such licence, he said, would also ensure that consumers were not deprived of benefits arising from technological developments in the licence conditions every time there was a change in the technology.
On the recent TDSAT judgement, he said "the recent judgement, like the previous judgement of the tribunal upholding the validity of WLL services, ensures that over 4.3 million subscribers of Reliance Infocomm would continue to enjoy the most technologically advanced mobile telephony at the most affordable price."
