Mulayam to be sworn in as UP CM
Lucknow, Aug 28: Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav will take over as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister today capping three days of political crisis triggered by the collapse of Mayawati-led BSP-BJP coalition government.

Yadav will be sworn in at Raj Bhawan at 3 pm and a small of ministerial team will also be administered oath of office and secrecy by Governor Vishnu Kant Shastri, senior SP leader Ambika Chowdhury told media persons.
He said the composition of the ministerial team to be sworn in will be finalised today morning. The Governor invited Yadav to form the government after the SP chief met him, submitted a letter claiming the backing of 210 MLAs without giving their list and pressed for a trial of strength on the floor of the assembly.
On a day of hectic political activity in the opposition camp trying to rope in support from various quarters for government formation, 13 BSP MLAs extended support to Yadav.
