New Delhi, Oct 02: CBI director P C Sharma was today elected vice-president of Interpol general assembly.
Sharma, the first Indian to become vice-president in the Last three decades, defeated Salim Maliki of Iran by 54 votes in the election held at Benidorm in Spain, CBI sources said.
Representing the Asian region, Sharma's term will be for three years, the sources added.
