New Delhi, Oct 07: BJP has asked its units from the states where assembly elections are slated for November 20 and December one to submit list of candidates by third week of this month to the central election committee. Talking to reporters after launching the three-day dharna by its chief ministerial candidate for Delhi, Madan Lal Khurana, party general secretary Pramod Mahajan said the party's CEC would have its first meeting on October 20 and the candidates are expected to be finalised by the end of this month.
He said the party would not be fielding its chief ministerial candidates in the coming assembly elections but would do so after its legislature party in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi and Chhattisgarh elect their leaders.
On Chhattisgarh, he said the party has for strategic reasons decided not to name the candidate for the post as in the case of Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan "for tactical reasons". Bureau Report
