Hyderabad, Aug 17: Expressing serious concern over the sudden fall in prices of tomatoes in Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today instructed the concerned officials to take effective steps to ensure remunerative prices to the farmers across the state. Naidu, who held a detailed review meeting on the nose diving prices of tomato in Chittoor and other districts of the state, directed chief secretary Dr Mohan Kanda to make all the necessary arrangements to transport the vegetable to other places in the state and country where the produce is in demand, an official release here said.

Naidu also asked the official to ensure remunerative prices to farmers in the wake of the sudden plummeting of tomato prices, the release added.
