New Delhi: There is good news in store for people, who travel all the way to Benaras—just to be a part of 'maha aarti' on Ganga ghats. According to The Hindu report, in a rather unique and new initiative by the Delhi Government, attempt is being made not only to make the Yamuna river clean but also make it a spiritual spot for prayer like Benaras.

From November 13, 2015, aarti will be held every day at the Kudsia Ghat of the Yamuna, reportedly. Kapil Mishra, the Tourism Minister and Delhi Jal Board’s chairperson, was quoted as saying that the aarti will be held on the banks of Yamuna similar to that in Haridwar and Benaras.

He further added that it will establish a direct connection between the travelers and the spiritual destination.
