Lahore, Mar 20: Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly today admitted that his team was missing spin duo Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh in the ongoing Samsung Cup.
''They (Harbhajan and Kumble) have been the integral part of the team for sometime and have played a big role in the team's wins. So having both of them out at the same time is difficult,'' Ganguly told newspersons here this afternoon. About tomorrow's match, Ganguly said ''I am confident that we will do well'' and added that the two successive defeats will have no effect on his boys.
''We start afresh with every match. We have put behind Rawalpindi and Peshawar. Tomorrow is another day and a new match,'' he added.
He dismissed a query that his team was under pressure while playing in Pakistan and said ''We are facing no pressure. India-Pakistan matches do generate excitement and if there is any pressure it will be on both the teams,'' he said.
Asked about yesterday's match, the Indian skipper said ''The toss was crucial but considering the situation we did come back in the game well when we had them at 170 for 6 but Razzaq and Moin took it away.''
Ganguly was candid enough to admit that India lacked finishing touch. ''Yes we do. But at the same time we are hampered by injuries to our key bowlers, especially Kumble and Harbhajan. They have been integral part of our success. They are being missed.'' He said that without the key bowlers ''It is going to be difficult but I am not making any excuse. We should have won yesterday.'' asked about the pitch at Gaddafi stadium, the Indian skipper said ''It is good and has a bit of grass on it.'' Bureau Report
