Bhopal, June 26: Computer software giant Oracle would set up, in association with Hewlett Packard, an ‘E-Governance Centre of Excellence’ at Gurgaon in Haryana by July, a company official said on Thursday. Oracle director (public services), Dipankar Sanyal said that the centre will support e-governance initiatives by central, state and local government bodies in India.
The centre will also provide a platform for the development of model e-governance applications and also showcase e-governance applications that are currently being used by various government agencies in India.
“Through this joint centre and by using the Oracle information architecture which is built on a unified data model, we will help government agencies transition smoothly and quickly into fully-automated governance mode,” Sanyal added. Bureau Report
