Mumbai, May 12: HDFC Mutual Fund has introduced a fixed investment plan to provide regular income to investors through investments in debt, money market and government securities. The initial public offering (IPO) for plan under closed ended income scheme opened today and would close on May 15, HDFC MF said in a release here.
IPO expenses, for the plan having a maturity or final redemption date as May 31, 2004, would be borne by HDFC asset management company, the release said.
The scheme would not have any entry charge but the fund would levy one per cent exit load for redemptions and switches made before maturity date, it added.
However, the fund would not charge exit load if the investor gives five days clear notice to redeem units or switchover to HDFC's open-ended schemes, it said.
